Northaw
Fisheries Management Ltd is a company set up to run Hook Lake. The company's
objectives are to look after Hook Lake and manage it in such a way that
it remains the type of fishery it has always been, a natural well maintained
lake, with a low membership and a good stock of hard fighting pretty carp, with currently at least 4 fish weighing in at over 30lb.
If
you like un-crowded fishing in peaceful and tranquil surroundings then
Hook Lake may well be what you have been looking for. Sited in the small
village of Northaw just out side of Potters Bar, you could easily feel
that you are in the middle of nowhere. However the lake is just 10 minutes
from the M25 and the A1(M), with easy access to the M1, M11 and A10.
We currently have 0 vacancies for the 2007-8 season
Membership for the 2008-9 season will be restricted to a maximum of just 20 members and costs £325
for the season which will run from 1st June to 31st March. The waiting list will be open from 3rd January 2008.

There have been numerous doubles and low twenties caught as well as carp of 25lb+, 26lb+, and 2 x 28lb + along with mirrors of 29lb 10oz, 31lb, 31lb 4oz, 31lb 12oz, and a common of 32lb 8oz. Neil Povey had a result in more ways than one, not only did he have the lake to himself, he also managed to land 7 carp to 24lb.
Tottenham Dave did better than his football team have been doing when he landed 3 carp of 21lb 10oz, 28lb 10oz and 28lb 12oz (see images below).
